Our Articles

The articles here exist for one reason: most people researching hormone health are trying to answer a practical question about their own body. Is this fatigue normal? Is hormone therapy safe? Why is weight harder to manage than it used to be? Each piece is written to give a clear, clinically grounded answer, without the hype that surrounds much of what is published on these topics.

Everything published here is written for the patients we actually see at the clinic: adults, mostly between their thirties and sixties, in Kirkland and the surrounding Eastside, who want more clarity about persistent symptoms before making any decision about care. The articles use plain language, name what is known and what depends on individual evaluation, and never present treatment as automatic.

Where to Start

If you are new here, these four articles cover the questions patients raise most often in consultations:

Common signs your hormones may be out of balance is the natural first read. It walks through the symptom patterns, fatigue, mood shifts, sleep disruption, brain fog, that prompt most hormone evaluations, and explains why these signs are easy to misattribute.

Can hormone imbalance make weight loss harder? looks at the specific link between hormone patterns and weight resistance, including thyroid function, cortisol, insulin sensitivity, estrogen, and testosterone, and what a proper evaluation for weight-related concerns includes.

Is hormone therapy right for me? is for readers already weighing the decision. It lays out what makes someone a genuine candidate, the questions worth answering before starting, and what a responsible evaluation process looks like.

Is hormone therapy safe? takes on the question behind every other question. It covers what the research shows, the factors that change individual risk, including timing, hormone type, delivery method, and health history, and what responsible monitoring involves.

New articles are added over time, and the collection will grow beyond hormone health into the other areas the clinic supports, including gut health, metabolic health, and skin health. If an article leaves you with a question about your own situation, a complimentary consultation is the right place to bring it.
